Misc Rules

  1. ALL DECISIONS BY THE GAME MONITOR OR TOURNAMENT STAFF ARE FINAL.
  2. Players are responsible for keeping up with game progress on their assigned court and ensuring that they are on time for the start of each game. If a team does not arrive within five minutes after the scheduled start time, the team may be forced to forfeit, at the tournament organizers’ discretion.
  3. A player will be asked to leave the game when a cut or abrasion has blood flowing. Once the flow of blood has stopped and there is no chance of blood contacting another player, the player with the cut or abrasion may re-enter the game
  4. Any spectators / managers / coaches who are deemed to be disruptive to the game will be asked to leave the gymnasium.

ATHLETES’ BEHAVIOUR GUIDELINES

  • FAIR PLAY is an athlete’s first priority
  • Participate for the love and enjoyment of the game
  • Respect the efforts and accomplishments of your teammates and opponents
  • Respect the facility in which you visit or in which you play
  • Respect the rules of the game
  • Support the game of basketball
  • Stress the importance of participation
  • Be supportive of the athlete, team, opponents and officials
  • Maintain a supportive and constructive atmosphere conducive to personal development
  • Refrain from negative communication with players
  • Remain in the spectators’ section and refrain from entering the playing area at any time

SPECTATOR’S BEHAVIOUR GUIDELINES

  • Support the game of basketball
  • Stress the importance of participation
  • Be supportive of the athlete, team, opponents and officials
